Hello,
I built my first Analysis Services Tabular project, however the icon of measures and dimensions were not as expected.
Also location of measures is under the dimension. (images attached)
Any idea what could be wrong with the project setup ?
Thank you.

The tables that measures are assigned to/stored in is irrelevant to their function/calculation. In PowerBI at least, you can move them wherever you want. I would assume the same is true for SSAS Tabular, since PowerBI and Excel create a SSAS Tabular model under the covers. In Excel, you could choose the table where the measure was created.

Thank you for your reply, I found another thread on same topic which explains the reason of the display (new icon, different place for measures).
I tried to change the compatibility level from 1600 to 1500, but I'm still getting same display. It could be because I have sql server 2022?

Have you looked at the Display Folder property of measures in Visual Studio? I didn't know this was a property until I checked just now. I use VS 2019 with SSAS 2017, and measures appear in a Measures folder with a sub folder for each fact table. Maybe this default behavior has changed and you have to explicitly define a Display Folder now.
