Can I set the publisher database into read-only mode

    Hi - Can you set the db into read-only mode if it’s part of replication.

    As part of migration, I need to set the DBs into read-only mode before I take final backup.

    Can I do this if the replication is still active to another server?

    I don't have time to test, but I assume this would work fine. The read-only prevents changes to the publisher, but replication reads the log, as a separate job from anything else. I assume this means there would be no change read from the log.
