Error 823: Error number: 21, Severity: 24, State: 1 at start of SSM 19.1

  Hello all,

  I have installed MSSQL 2022 Developer on a new Laptop with Win11 Prof.

  • Databases are located on partition D:\DB\MsSQL\SQL2022\Data
  • Sometimes start of SSM (or my application) is running without any problem
  • When the failure 823 came up first time, I deinstallend and installed complete MSSQL 2022 and SSM
  • But than (around one week later) failure came up again
  • I found out, that after restart of PC, it could happen, that connection is running well
  • Never had a problem if conecction run once
  • Now I had the failure several times
  • Failure is coming up directly entering the LOGIN so DBCC CHECKDB is not possible
  • On my old PC data were on a real drive D: and there I have had never problems  (with SQL 2014)
  • Attached the complete failure message

  Looks like you have a problem with the storage that needs to be corrected.

  Stop messing with it and call a consultant or microsoft, you may have database corruption. Be sure to disable any jobs that age off backups as well
