The "old" Upgrade Adviser was nice... the new one (I can't remember it's name because they changed it and won't be using it again) isn't because you're going to share information with MS that you won't have an option as to whether to allow the info to be sent to MS or not. The only way to not send the info to MS is to not use the tool.
