  Hi,

  In SQL Server 2016, 2017 in the Always-ON configuration is a good idea to re-routing SQL requests for balancing requests between 2 cluster nodes configuration or is a best solution to have a dedicated hardware device to balancing requests?

  Did you have issues in balancing requests for "secondary replica assets" (for a large volume of transactions) ?

  only read requests can be routed to secondary read onpy replica and sql database engine will take care of that. for details how to configur the same refer beliw link. no external liad balancer is required.
