I have a matrix that has Row Groups and a single Column Group. The matix appears like this:
The leftmost 6 columns form the row groups, and the next 3 columns are SUM() at the highest Row Group Level (CostCenterID). As I'm only going to get one row per CostCenterID, I'm at a loss for why the SUMs are way off, way high. I previously only had one Row Group on the highest level, and adding the other non sum columns as their own groups didn't change anything. The data for the Column Groups is on separate rows from the data for the Row Groups. This used to work okay, but something I've done has seriously messed this up. Not sure why.... Anyone? I can provide more detail.

Well, I was able to change it's behavior.... I took those additional groups out, and with just one row group and one column group, now the rows are summing but also repeating for the group, and I have no idea why... tempted to just start over.

And when I took the groups out, it made the remaining columns OUTSIDE of the group... Fixed that one, but I still have the sum values bloated way high. The original design on this was to have separate rows feed the two portions of the matrix. One set of rows would be DetailType of Sales, and the other set would be DetailType of Taxes. Then TaxType is the group for the columns. None of the columns are shared between these sets of rows, save the outermost grouping values and other values that are identical for every row within the CostCenterID outermost row group. Just trying to figure out how to put this back in the state it used to be in.

Finally solved the problem by replacing the matrix with a new one and re-creating it almost from scratch.
