Cloud path for beginners

    Hi, I am in my junior year of an undergrad degree in electronics and communication. Looking for a way to enter the Cloud industry. As I don't belong to the computer science field, what are the basic pre-requisite for starting a career in the cloud? should I start looking for a job after my degree completion or continue by further study in the CS field? which cloud should choose? am I late to the field?

    by the way, I have good programming skills in C++, java but am still a noob at python.

    thanks for reading my post. Any genuine answers are appreciated. I searched for blogs and youtube videos they all are crowdy and a bit confusing, thus want to hear what the cloud community answers.

    I can't speak for others but relational databases aren't going away.  I also love the fact that I don't actually have to write loops in it do to the same things people do in loops in other languages.

    The language of databases is SQL even if you're using another language (like Python or Java or C++ or whatever).  While the dialect of SQL does vary from engine to engine, having a leg up on how SQL works and how it can get stuffed up by "bad" queries will go a long way for anyone.  The thought process behind using SQL will also help in other areas.

    And, no... I'm not talking about just the simple SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE and Join stuff but you obviously have to start at the beginning.

    It is difficult to get into almost any job unless you have experience in what you want to do. The best way is to do research and find employers who are looking for entry-level graduates in a field that relates to what you want to do.

    When you are in work you will see the opportunities in the field you are working in, it may be these are better that the field you desire today. At this stage in your career it is good to be flexible.

    Ultimately if you are after money the best way is to be an entrepreuner.  You are like to go bankrupt at least once but if you have any skills you will find something you can make work, regardless of the field it is in.

    If you are really set on getting to know cloud then check what deals your collage has. You may get free or cheap access to one of them.  Showing you are able to work outside the box of your course can help get a job, but unless you are lucky your college skills will be considered only as entry level, with a salary to match.
