I realize the issue I'm about to explain can have a bunch of underlying causes such as SPNs, AD settings, Kerberos, etc but I'm hoping someone can shed some light on where the issue resides and then I can research the solution. I'm dealing with three servers that I will refer to as Server A, Server B, and Server C. All three use different IDs for the SQL Service. I'm setting up linked servers using the login's security context and have verified that the login has access to all three servers. There error message I get is "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" and here are the results of each link:
Server A - Server B = Success
Server A - Server C = Success
Server B - Server A = Error
Server C - Server A = Error
Server C - Server B = Error
As seen above Server A can connect to the other two but the other two cannot to Server A and, those two which cannot connect, can't connect to each other either. Is this enough information to tell if the issue is Server A, Server B, or Server C?
