One day I'm going to have to start looking into U-SQL. The QoTDs have me doing research and learning new things, so I guess that's the start, right?

Well, I think you do a good job on them, Steve. It's probably a near-thankless job with more complaints than anything, but you vary the topics and introduce people to things they don't already use. You also cause people to question things they do use. So, thank you.

Good question. After getting me interested in R, you've now introduced me to U-SQL - this is really great. U-SQL looks like quite a good idea, but I would have preferred to see SQL+F# rather than SQL+C# - Microsoft does tend to be a bit too conservative at times.
