Started to see "Version store is full. New version(s) could not be added." in the Event Log. How can I resolve this?

    Performance has increased some on my Dynamics AX database, now I am seeing this in the event log:
    "Version store is full. New version(s) could not be added. A transaction that needs to access the version store may be rolled back. Please refer to BOL on how to configure tempdb for versioning."

     Not a warning but an info. What exactly does this mean?  

    BTW: I am a developer and not a SQL guru like many of you guys. We have poor performance and I think its on the SQL side and not the application.

    Either TempDB is tiny and can't grow, or you have some *really* long running transactions that's preventing the version store from being cleaned up.
    Check which please.
