This is more of a curiosity thing because I think I've resolved the issue, but I was wondering if anyone knew why this would occur...
We have two servers in production, we'll call them A and B. We have some tables on A replicated to B using transactional replication. We also have B setup as a linked server on A.
This morning, I created a new replication from A to B. A while later, I noticed that the linked server for B had been changed - Data Access was set to False. It's always been True, and needs to be True for various jobs we run.
I looked in our test environment where I'd also created the replication, and it was set to False there as well. Finally I looked in dev where I had NOT created the new replication, and it was still True.
Why would creating a new replication do this?
