Getting an error while connecting to SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) i.e connecting via Database Engine.
Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management
Expand Services And Application-> SQL Server Configuration Manager->SQL Native Client Configuration
Check Aliases Option
If you find any aliases for the SQL Server that you are getting problem, then delete it

Hi,
Please check the attached screenshots (Both).
The Aliases are blank totally.
November 4, 2015 at 10:26 pm
How to check that ?
November 4, 2015 at 11:12 pm
If Aliases are totally blank, then check SQL Server Browser service is running and is kept in automatic Start mode.
From start -> click on run- > type services.msc -> click on ok button -> check for SQL Server browser service, and start if it is not running.

Enable TCP/Ip, Piped Protocol
From Computer Management ->SQL and Services, ensure the Service is On. Enable the port on the Firewall. Try to login through Command Prompt -> as Admin; last the User Name should be (local)\SQLEXPRESS. Hope this helps.

TCP/IP and Piped Protocol are already enabled.

How to check through Command Prompt ?

Please guide me once with navigation.
Thanks.

Please check the Screenshot.
