How to find out from which client connection(computer name) or login id , SQL login got locked

    Hi,

    We have a common sql authentication login which use multiple users to connect sql, but because Enforce password policy enabled on this login there are chances that login get lock when any one try to login with wrong password.

    so is there way we have to find out who is trying to access sql by wrong password ,and from which client machine it is connecting.

    take a look at the SQL error log; the default for a normal installation is to log failed logins, so you can browse it with SSMS, and find the ip address; you can then ping that to get the hostname.
