Hello,
I am currently being asked to upgrade a SQL Server 2008 instance to 2008 R2 and setup SSRS to be integrated with SharePoint.
I believe that they only have 1 SharePoint setup, which is already connected to a different ReportServer database on another SQL Server instance (which is setup to be integrated with SharePoint).
My gut feeling is that this could cause an issue but can anyone confirm if you can have multiple ReportServer databases integrated to one SharePoint.

Call me weird, but why don't you just use the already existing SSRS instance?

Call me puzzled but I ask myself the same question. The original request was just to upgrade from 2008 to 2008 R2 and add the SharePoint integration.
I had to track down that there is already a reportserver database connected to SharePoint.
Since the request was to take the other reportserver database and integrate it to SharePoint (that already has the reportserver database) I want to see if that's even possible (which I'm dubious about) while I try to see if we can just use the existing setup.

It seems you can create multiple Reporting Services Service Applications (and configure a second one with a different report server database), but I wonder how you would specify in which database a new report would be stored.

You can also scale-out SSRS to multiple Report Services, but I believe they are all just copies of each other.

Thank you again for your replies to this!
I believe I have convinced them that the most logical way of moving forward will be to utilize the existing Report Server database that is already integrated with SharePoint.
Of course the issues with this continue to multiply, as now some of the reports only show up from the ReportServer URL while logged into the server.... but when I access the website from a different server the reports do not work.
I know I already said this but thank you again.

Maybe an authentication issue as you are taking multiple hops?

Finally got this all fixed.
Some of the reports had been built and setup to utilize SharePoint (on a server with Native Report Server)
Then someone changed the execution account password within Report Manager Configuration (which broke all reports of course)
Finally the last reports got fixed when I added account ref. in the data sources to the SSAS instance & to the project it was refreshed from.
