Hello - are there hotfixes for SQL Server? I can see at this link...
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/ff803383.aspx
there are service packs for each version, if I installed the latest service pack, is that it?
Sorry this seems like a dumb question - a coworker made me think there was more to it than just the latest service pack.
Thanks
Dave

Thank you - that was the phrase I needed (cumulative updates)
I also see that some people have the opinion to wait for service packs

Thank you for answering my question.

Also see sites like http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.com/[/url].
Note that opinions vary. My general go-to methodology is:
Apply all SP's a couple weeks after they come out (every once in awhile, they cause major problems) (Third party products may also warn if you keep up to date, or even break in rare cases).
Read CU notes to see if they apply to you - if they do, apply them. If not, don't, unless there's a later security update.
Apply the QFE (CU) form of all security updates (i.e. when there's a security patch for SP2, apply the latest CU and then apply the QFE version of the security update).
