how often we need to update the windows patches in production and reboot them?

    Hi,

    I just wanted to know how often we need to update the windows patches for SQL Server in production?

    We have a 3 node a/a/p set up.

    How we need to plan the Server reboots in cluster environment after applying the patches?

    Ideally every time a new update comes out. realistically we install updates at least once a month if they are needed.

    As far as how to reboot the servers? Sounds like a great way to test your disaster recovery fail-over plans to me. You have plans for when a server "Unexpectedly" drops like a good administrator right??
