Hello SSC, I'm having a problem with my Reporting service email delivery option these days. I've been using email deliveries through subscriptions for a couple years now. First with SQLServer2005 and now with 2008 for almost a year. Everything has been working fine since early august. all of a sudden the option to choose email delivery in my subscriptions has completely disappeared, and the subscriptions that were set up using email delivery are not being sent anymore. I've checked out a lot of stuff online but nothing has helped me. Here's a documentation on Microsoft's website that explains how to setup the email delivery option:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345234.aspx
Everything on that page has been double checked twice and there's no problems at all. I've talked with our Network admin and all the required permissions from the email address I'm using are set up on the SMTP server and all the options regarding email delivery on the RSReportServer.config file have been double checked a dozen times.
Has anyone had trouble with this option in the past/recently? Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Thanks for your reply prvmine. Although this article has helped me get to know the inner workings of the reporting service, I'm not facing the same problem. After looking into the log file, I have found this error message:
emailextension!ReportServer_0-2!fa4!12/22/2011-11:17:42:: e ERROR: Error reading configuration information: System.Xml.XmlException: There are multiple root elements. Line 3, position 30.
It seems like there's an error in my xml configuration file (rsreportserver.config). I have looked at it and there doesn't seem to be two root elements at all, so I'm kind of baffled. Is reporting service pointing to any other xml config file that I should be aware of?
Any help would be appreciated at that point.
