Hi all,
Question to replication gurus please.
It is possible to use initialize from backup option when you have 1 central subscribtion database and multiple publishers?
I just don't see how to make this to work since each publisher database should be restored separetly.

I can't see any way the you could initialise a your subscriptions from multiple publishing databases. You do need to restore a backup of each publishing database which would destroy any the result of the previous database restore (from another publishing database).

I've never used this feature in the way microsoft intended. I have done this but it does require a basis server to be setup up using snapshots.
Our setup has multiple subscribers to multiple publications across multiple servers. Once the first one is set up its just a matter of setting up logships or doing a backup/restore to add another subscriber using @sync_type = N'none'
