hi,
I understand the concepts and have implemented them in single stand alone servers.
Is there a specific change which needs to be done in an active / passive cluster environment ?

ok, if you understand the technologies then it is rather simple. Log shipping works the same whether on a cluster or a stand alone machine.
The only thing i would point out is the file share where the log backups will be stored. If this is stored on the publisher (the cluster) create the share as a clustered resource that is part of the SQL Server cluster group so that the share is always available to the subscriber(s)

hi ,
thanks for suggestion , but my point is server in cluster is in ACTIVE/PASSIVE mode ....so can it is going to be fine ...i read on some forum that u have to have Active/Active cluster for log shipping
[Depends on what kind of cluster you have set up. If it's Active / Active, then yes, you shouldn't have a problem. If it's Active / Passive, you have a problem and will need to break the cluster and rebuild as an Active / Active.

It makes no difference!
Do you understand the difference between active\active and active\passive clusters?
