Hi everyone,
I am looking for the script to take the backup of only failed backup jobs
example
i have database like test,test1,test2...etc
our backup plan is for these databases daily once full backup, for 6 hours differential ,every half an hour t log.
Howeverly, there is no guarantee backup will be successful all the time.
let's say backup job failed for test3 database,I can manually take backup of failed database but i have around 230 databases are running on my server.
daily atleast 20-50 backup jobs are failing i am taking backup manually.
it's to difficult for me to take each backup individually so i am looking for script to take the backup of only failed backup jobs if i check for tlog script has to take backup of all failed tlog jobs failed latest one.
Your help will be highly appreciable

Why do you have such a high number of backup job failures?
We backup at least 20 times that number of databases every day with far fewer backup job failures.

due to space issues,network issues
of course some times only one or two failures but i want to make it automate this can just write script for this..?

Just a thought, but doesn't automating it kind of defeat the purpose? After all, if the automation fails to fix the underlying problem before the re-run occurs, it's not going to achieve much, and with 20 to 50 databases to back up, this sounds like a potential maintenance nightmare, as typically, companies unwilling to spend $ to get appropriate hardware for their needs are going to get progressively less willing to spend money on something that exhibits high failure rates. If you can't get the boss to spend $ to ensure that the appropriate resources are readily available, the failures aren't going to get fixed by automation.
Yes, you may well get the problem down to a more manageable number, but it seems likely that "success" by minimization has a greater potential for even more failures, as now that the backups succeed and fully occupy the space they need, it's likely further failures will occur because that space is now occupied. Ultimately, you may cause more problems than you solve. It just seems like the potential for this to be a band-aid that's being applied to an open gut-wound is rather high...
