Hi all experts!
I have a machine that needs to be tuned perfectly.
My questions: Are there any good sources/ebooks how to do this from the start?
We don't have any performance issues right now, but we need the perfect setup.
Any tip?
Thanks!

Get an experienced tuning consultant and let him/her have a look at the setup.
The two statements "tuned perfectly" and "how to do this from the start" don't match very well... 😉

Dito here... takes years to truly master this art. You can get pretty far on this road by yourself if you're willing to put in the hours, but competent, hired will definitly will...

Put me down as +3 for hiring a performance tuning expert to both review your systems/applications and make recommendations as well as mentor you on how to go about keeping an eye on things and responding to future tuning needs. Win-Win-Win!
It is SUCH a complex, multivariant space that it is inconceivable that you could become even moderately good at it in less than a year or so of dedicated learning, training, working. Mentoring from a pro will get you a long way much more quickly while also helping you avoid the disasterous outcomes that often arise from having "a little knowledge". 😎
