Is there a limit to the number of subscribers per publication in SQL 2008 Enterprise?
I thought I saw something about 2005 have a limit of 25, but I was unable to find this information on SQL 2008.
Thanks!

sql 2005 express supports config as a subscriber only to both merge & transactional replication.
sql 2005 workgroup supports config as a publisher to 25 subscribers for merge replication and publisher to only 5 subscribers for transactional replication.
sql 2005 standard doesn't support oracle replication.
sql 2005 standard and enterprise do not have a limit.
For SQL 2008
If an instance of Workgroup is used as a Publisher, it supports a maximum of 25 publications to all merge subscriptions. It supports an unlimited number of subscriptions to snapshot publications.
this is from microsoft's site on the editions page.

You will hit an OS limit on the number distribution agents you'll be able to run. That depends partly on hardware. So if you're planning on having a large number of subscribers you will want to look at potentially using pull subscriptions.
