Linked server equivalent in MySQL

    Hi everyone.

    Very new to the MySQL environment..

    Is there a MySQL equivalent to a MS-SQL linked server?

    Linking 2 MySQL servers to each other and avoid moving data between them via txt/csv/sql dump files.

    Not a direct equivalent but to access tables in other remote databases in MySQL you usually enable Federated Storage Engine and use Federated tables. I don't remember much of the specifics but you may want to look those up in the documentation for whatever version of MySQL you are using.
