Hi Friends,
I want to have SQL Server 2008 standard edition because I have Windows XP OS in my system ( I think the Enterprise version can be installed on only Windows server OS). I tried to download it from Microsoft website but they are only giving Enterprise edition on trail basis, I can also download Express edition. But I want the Standard edition. Can anyone suggest me how to get it, if Microsoft is providing trail download. Please provide me link .
Thanks and Regards,
Satish

I had enterprise edition installed on WinXP, so you could use that one.
Also, is this for Dev purposes? You may want to shell out a few bucks for Dev edition. That way you could play with the enterprise features and not worry about an expiring trial.

The evaluation edition (which is enterprise) can be installed on any OS.
