SQL mails in outlook template oft

    Is there any way to send emails from SQL Server using Outlook templates (oft)?

    Your best bet is making an application or SSIS package to do this. Then use xp_cmdshell or SQL agent to call on that application or package.

    I don't think that will not work. Outlook.exe accepts no exposed command line arguments, so you could not automate it like that, i think.

    what's wrong with opening a new email based on the template, then changing it to html and view the source?

    then you can use that as the source basic format of the email and substitute in your content.
