I just submitted my first QotD and I have a couple suggestions:
* Make the area for the explanation of the correct answer larger. (I had to generate the content elsewhere and paste it in, which is probably fine.)
* Make the explanation section formattable like the question section. (Or can I paste HTML there?)
* Have a QotD simulator, so you can see how your question will look both while people are answering and after they have answered it. (You might even make going through the simulator and picking the correct answer a required step for submission.)

Now if I had someone to make a few changes and test them. This is a relatively low priority item, but I do agree that these are some changes that would be good.
