Hi , never down this before, can this be anything like a simple graph in excel ftped to the net or also a SSRS object successfully deployed?

Can what be a simple thing like Excel? I'm not sure you've defined the problem you have very well.

I'm with Steve on this. I don't understand what your question is. Could you elaborate?

I'm just keen to know what web analytics involves. I use SAS and SQL for datawarehousing but I need a way of doing web based analytics. Is this through SSRS or OLAP-sql analysis services

SSRS and OLAP would be useful in performing web analytics.

OLAP, SSRS is just a tool. To do web based analytics, you need a web application that allows you to access data. There are tools that can do this, or you can build your own application with SSRS to do it.
I assume you mean you're analyzing data from web logs?

Basicially I have data in SQL databases I want to be able to put up on a website. So I think this is OLAP.

It will depend on how you want to present the data on the website. Both SSRS and OLAP can help you with that - but the presentation of the data is what will drive the decision for the primary tool. If you just want to present a Report (that has minimal user interaction), then use SSRS. If you need the users to be able to use different dimensions or pull different facts, then OLAP will be necessary.

I'd agree with Jason. If you just want to get data onto the web, SSRS is probably the easiest thing to do.
