Need to script out contents of datasource folder for safekeeping - SSRS 2008

    We are in the process of re-organizing the whole tree structure of our report server in an effort to address the current sprawling chaos of multiple datasources pointing to the same database and situated across all folders in the hierarchy.

    As part of this, we have created a large number of datasources in the root DataSources folder; these datasources will be used generically by all reports, so that a change in the datasource location, as part of an upgrade, migration etc., will need to be fixed only in one place.

    Because of the amount of work I invested in this, I want to make sure that if someone with Report-deployer rights accidentally blows the contents of my DataSources directory, I can easily recreate them from a script.

    How can I script out the contents of the DataSources directory? Does anyone have a powershell script for doing this (or any other way)?

    This has been posted on this board multiple times for various reasons, but RSScripter has become an essential tool for Report Sever Management for me. very simple to use.
