Hi again,
ive been happily processessing my cube when I got this error.
Error -1055653859 : Errors in the metadata manager. An error occurred when loading the '' measure group, from the file, '\\?\S:\SQLData\AnalysisServices\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Data\CAYA_DataWarehouse_Dev.0.db\ourcube.114.cub\Fact our fact.128.det.xml'.
Error -1055129598 : Server: The operation has been cancelled.
the processing would fail every time. I found help docs that said...
I've found what appears to be a solution
".stop the SSAS service, go to the OLAP data directory under my SQL install and remove the folder for that cube. I then started the SSAS Service, and the SSAS Database was gone (finally!). I redeployed and reprocessed and everything is working again. Whew :)"
http://blog.stevienova.com/2009/11/12/ssas-errors-in-the-metadata-manager-the-dimension-with-id-of/
"1. Stop the Analysis Services service
2. Delete everything in your C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Data\%YOUR_PROJECTNAME% folder
3. Restart the Analysis Services service
4. Re-deploy your project"
so I got our db team to help me sort that bit out. I went into my project to rebuild and redeploy and got
the 'Database Fact our fact' does not exist on the server.
I go to SSMS to have a look to see if the database still exists.
It doesn’t exist but the online help documentation says “create and deploy an Analysis Services project in Business Intelligence Development Studio. [to create an analysis Services Database] ”
Looked at some other documentation and it should work fine so I tried to just recreate the Analysis Database and had another error saying Either the user does not have permission or the object doesnt exist.
Im at a bit of a loss as to what the next move is on this one. Any help would be appreciated!!!.

Ah ha. It turned out that ar DB team could still see the database but I couldnt. The database got deleted and then the project was reproccessed and it worked fine.
