In sql server report 2005 (SSRS 2005), I will be generating some reports that may not have any data selected at times. This can you can tell me how can you display a message like 'The report is not generated since no records' were selected for this report. Can you tell me how to solve this problem either with sql and/or a sql server report 2005? If not no is selected, what will sql server report display? Would it display anything at all!

Would it be too difficult for you to create a report that will NOT return any data and test what the report will show or do? And then ask you question?

The report that would display no data is an error report. I am expecting most of the time that no data would be in the report. Thus, I expect the report to have no data.
Thus how can I display a message stating 'No errors' are located?

For SSRS 2005, you will need to add your message to the "NoRows" property of the table or matrix.
