I get this message when I click on SQL Mail does not work with the 64-bit version of SQL Server, why is that.I can send email.

That is correct. 64-bit SQL does not support SQL Mail. It does support DBMail.

Okay, I am getting really confused here. First you post a SQL Mail question in a SQL Server 7, 2000 forum; right place. Now you are asking about SQL Mail in a 64-bit version of SQL Server 2005.
Which version of SQL Server are you working with? If both, fine, but in going to SQL Server 2005, SQL Mail is depreciated and you should use DatabaseMail.

Have you even tried looking ANYTHING up in Books Online or do you just jump right out here to SSC and post your questions? Many of your questions you can answer by simply reading Books Online first. If that doesn't help, then come here and ask for assistance.

Actually, I don't have a lot of time. I have my own paying job that I also do besides trying to assist people on SSC.
What I do here is voluntary, not paid. In fact most of us voluntarily give of our time and knowledge on SSC.

Excuse me?
Are you implying that you'd rather we spend the time looking up the answers for you rather than you spending 5 minutes with the books yourself?

Any suggestion as to which book I should read next? I only have 5 on the go right now. I will eventually need to start a new one.

Good idea. I don't get the impression you have much respect for us or our time.

You've crossed the line of professionalism twice already in this thread.
I strongly recommend to step back from the keyboard for a moment, take a deep breath and think about what the root cause of your frustration might be.
Then focus your energy to fight that problem instead of yelling at us or showing some other kind of lacking professionalism.
Continue posting in your current mood won't be a good way to receive an answer that'll actually help you...

@Lynn: you might want to prepare your tent to hold a bunch of people arriving shortly... 😉
Can we just stop by or do we need to show an invitation?
