Hi,
Our Network admin downloaded the SQL Server 2008 developer edition Software and I'm using that software to install SQL Server 2008
Here I can see 3 folders and some files as below:
ia64
x86
x64
autorun.inf
MediaInfo.xml
Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
msvcr80.dll
Readme.htm
setup.exe
setup.rll
Our server is x64. I just invoked the setup.exe and installation wizard opensup and I'm able to install. But if I only want to install client tools, from where I can install them? As we have separate folders in SQL Server 2005: Servers & Tools, I used go tools & install the client tools. but here, inside x64 folder, there are no folders like Servers & Tools. Please see the attachmnet
thanks

From the root folder run setup.exe, select the Installation link on the left hand side of the screen and the new installation link on the right. Just uncheck everything other than the client tools when you reach the Feature Selection screen.
