Hi Experts
this is regarding i have 200 gb of database , and the ' D' drive was 120 gb , and the data base in the full recovery model, and daily there is lot of data updation and trancastions is going , here my data fileis 1.9 gb, and LOG is 40 gb, daily i am taking the back up and it will be 1.9 gb , i am taking the backup for the daily from past 45 day so the space in the drive get conjested and it came back to 6 gb , if i take for three more day it will finish.
but i cant delete the backup because the solution was not yet given to the client. the needed.
is there any think i can do on the log file to decrese,
I already shrink the log file once it gives 2 gb , by doing this shrinking it will make any problem?
please help me out ,please guide ,

You should go through the articles that Paul pointed you to read.
It seems your database is in full recovery mode. Are you taking regular log backups?
If recovery to point in time is not required, you can switch to simple recovery mode to avoid managing log files.
