Our DBA added a new SQL box to use as our primary ETL server. When the first job ran the run time was double compared to our existing server.
I can't determine where the extra run time is coming from. I created an SSIS package that does nothing (1 script task with no code).
In BIDS it runs in .5 seconds (run without debug)
On the old server the SQL Agent job runs in about 4 seconds, on the new server takes about 17 seconds.
I have logging on all events and the logging indicates that the package itself executed in about 1 second, at least what what was logged.
I'm thinking there is something with SSIS service possibly? SQL and SSIS are both running on the server.
Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks
