  Hi,

  I cannot connect to SQL Server 2005 via Management Studio. I can connect fine using ODBC. Any ideas of where to start would be appreciated.

  Can you give the error that occurs when try to connect the server.

  If you cant connect using instance name try using IP address.

  See to that remote is enabled and tcp/ip is also enabled.

  try adding the 2000 server as an alias through tcp protocol with the port used by the 2000 server.
