SQL 2008 Data collector

    I am interested in performance data collection using SQL 2008. Does it require all sources to be from SQL 2008? I read that it can pull from a multiple of sources but none seem defined. I cant find an answer to this anywhere so I thought I would ask you smart guys:) I hope it can pull info from a SQL 2005 box?

    Not much help but I've only been able to use DC against other 2008 SQL boxes using the out-of-the-box collection sets. Everything I've read says it is NOT backwards compatible with 2K5 and earlier...
