report service Datetime Calender

    dear all,

    i have faced a problem in report service

    i have 2 parameter fromdate , todate

    when i used the type of parameter datetime it create error .

    so i use the type of parameter "string"

    if any one can help me to use the type of parameter datetime,

    or i want to do validation on the value entered in Text parameter .

    1st if you give us the exact error message it would go a long way towards helping us to help you. Also the version you are using woudl be helpful as well. Besides that when using your datetime parameters there a few things to keep in mind.

    1) the datatype of the data you are querying against. Are they datetime columns or something else?

    2) The collation of your database and the regional settings on the database, the reporting services configuration file, the report regional settings and the regional settings of your development machine all play a part into how a date is handled/evaluated/displayed.
