hi
I am running a software company and my develoement are in .Net with SQL database and I am running 5 -6 projects which is require Database separately. My team size could vary from 10 to 15 members in each projects. In that case I would like to know which version of SQL 2005 suits for software developer
1. SQL Server Express Edition
2. SQL Server Developer Edition
3. SQL Server Standard Edition
4. SQL Server Enterprise Edition.

I would recommend 'developer edition'.
But I agree that there are a number of other factors that might affect this decision like number of licenses, price etc.

We have many developers and they use Standard Edition SQL Server on our development servers. Development Edition would require them to have their own installation of SQL Server and also give them features that they wouldn't have in the live environment
