Secondary DB in restoring state

  • Hi,

    Please advise.
I have  two sql server instances..A01 is prod which is online and running. A02 which is secondary and now in 'restoring state' which also has log shipping setup for one of the user databases from A01 for 15 minutes and not all user databases of A01.

I do not see any other alerts going on but is it a problem if secondary is in restoring mode and if yes, then how to fix it.

    Thanks

It's not necessarily a problem - it depends on how you initially setup the log shipping.
You setup log shipping to be in standby/read only if you want to allow read only use in between restore the logs.
Or if you set it up with norecovery, it's in a restoring state without the read only access.
