Hi,
I am a new member of this forum.
I am evaluating ways of displaying a dashboard gauge for KPI purposes.
I have looked at SharePoint with Dundas Gauge.
I am now looking at SSAS.
I have a question.
Does SSAS offer functionality similar to Dundas Gauge?
i.e. Display gauges with KPI
Thanks in advance

SSAS will allow you to pick Gauge as the Indicator when you build the KPI in the cube. However, the issue becomes with the displaying of the KPI to the user. If you look at the gauge in Excel 2007, the gauge will have a dark circle, half circle or empty circle when it comes across. When you look at a SSRS report done through BIDS, you have to code for the gauge image based upon the status of the KPI. Interestingly though, if you are using a Report Model in SSRS, the gauge image will come across as built in the cube without any real additional work, you just select the KPI from the available items onto your report.
However, using Dundas controls provides more flexibility than what is standard in an SSAS cube.
Another option is PerformancePoint Server, if you trying to look into all of the available MS products.
