Setup - Primary server configured to ship transaction logs to two different servers (one on the local subnet, the other is on the a remote network connected via VPN tunnel)
Problem - When I add a datafile to the primary server, a new file is automatically added to only one of the secondary servers. The additional file does not get created on the other secondary. What can I do so that the datafile gets created on both ?

This happens if primary and secondary servers drive configuration is not of same.
When Restoration of transaction log backup will fail after data file is added , find out the transaction log backup for which restoration is failing, try to restore it manually and find out the error, if the error says it couldn't find the path of the data file where it needs to be restored, restore log file with move option( for the log backup file it is throwing error) with no recovery, once log file is restored, then every thing is set.
Please let me know if you still have any questions.
