Change Database Compatibility Level

    I inherited two databases that are at compatibility level 65. These databases are on SQL 2000 server. What is the best way to move these databases to level 80. These are our document file server databases so they are both very large and important databases.

    just change the level in the properties of the database and there is sp_dbcmptlevel available in 2005 server see bol http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178653.aspx or are you wondering about the effects of the change?
