Hi Steve. Good question. Not to be too nit-picky about the wording, but the title of the question is slightly misleading given that none of the datatypes store the actual time zone. The only info that is stored is the offset. But, an offset is not a time zone per se as multiple time zones can have the same offset yet have different rules governing Daylight Savings (DST), especially as these rules change over time.
