Listener IP address gets deleted from DNS server

  Hi,

  I am new to SQL. I have created first Multi subnet cluster with server1 and server2.

  I am facing two issues with the cluster.

  1. In cluster event logs, I find the error Event ID - 1196- DNS BADKEY.

  

  Is this because DHCP is enabled in server2?

  2. The listener host record for server2 is getting deleted from the DNS server. Due, to which unable to connect to listener when server2 is primary.

  RegisterAllProvidersIP = 1

  Is this because of DNS Bad Key error?

  Please help me to solve this issue.

  So you have at least 2 nodes and an AG with an asynch secondary on a different subnet.

  Your listener has more than 1 ip. You need to set hostrecordTtl to 120 and RegisterAllProvodersIp to 0

  Update the cluster quantum votes to an odd number

   

  This is not really a solution to your issue, but after updating this see if the error is the same
