Unable to send mail using Database mail in sql server 2005

    I'm using the hMailServer as the SMTP server.

    After doing the configurations and tried to send test email, the follwing is the error message that i gets.

    The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 2 (2007-12-16T22:41:35). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: The host name specified in HELO does not match IP address.).

    Can anyone help me out in solving this.

    Have a talk with your network/dns admins. You've got a reverse DNS issue, the receiving email server is doing a reverse DNS lookup on the sending servers IP address and getting an answer it doesn't like.
