Loading from a txt file in SSIS

  • Hi Experts , i am trying to load from txt file to a table in a database.On flat file file when i preview  to sample the data all 12 columns are showing as one column.
    Please help how can i fix this.I want the preview as 12 columns not just one  long column.

    Do you have some kind of column delimiter you can use to split into the 12 columns?

  • The delimiter is greyed out only row delimiter i can change.

  • In your flatfile what is the delimiter?

    You should be able to reset columns within the flat file connection manager, and then choose the relevant delimiter.

    In your Flat File connection manager, have you got 'Format' set to 'Delimited'?
