truncation issues btw 2000 and 2005

  Hey

  I have run into some extremely frustrated issues while importing flat files into 2005.

  When doing the exact same files into 2000, it works great.

  The errors messages that I am faced with are truncation errors.

  I have tried the same data types and length in both 2000 and 2005.

  I have also extended the length, like given the field nvarchar 4000, even when I know that there is less than 100 characters in a field. I have tried to change to ntext, nothing seems to be working.

  Has anyone run into this issue, and/or solved it..?

  Any and all thoughts are welcome.

  Same file in both cases? Same collation?

  Are these the same server or at least same version/localization of Windows?

  Can you post the exact error?

  How are you importing?
