Hi there
I will need to develop a package in MS Visual Studio 2008
Do I need the professional edition for this?
And also does someone know a URL for downloading BIDS for 2008 please?
Thanks

Unless I recall incorrectly, it's been a long time, wasn't the BIDS installation on the SQL Server 2008 installation disc? If not, you might be able to find it in the available to down your MSDN/Volume Licensing Site (I can't remember what Microsoft call it now), however, as 2008 is completely unsupported, it could well have been removed.

Hi
Ok I found out how to do this.
Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 professional
Then Download Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 - Express Edition with Advanced Services.
This has Integrated Full-text Search and Reporting Services and you will find BIDS in Here.
Press download and choose SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe or SQLEXPRADV_x86_ENU.exe based on your system
Link to download for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 is from here
