Not sure if this is a US vs UK (or ROW) thing, or if I'm just old and something has changed. In my Postgrad work, ACID was for:
Atomic, Consistent, Isolated, Durable
Mean the same, just different grammar. anybody know?

I think the variation of the word is cultural, or maybe just a version of a techie-acronym-telephone-game.
I think I've heard it as consistent and consistency in different places. The concept is the same, but I've also see this as atomic or atomicity.
