SQL Server Native client

    Hi,

    Installed SQL Server2016 standard on Windows server2016 Standard, Later i observed that SQL Server2012 Native Clients also installed along with that.

    Is it safe to uninstall ?

    do i need to keep as it is ?

    The native client replaces older drivers. This is a few MB in size. Not worth uninstalling. You might not use it now, but you may at some point.

    SQL Server 2012 Native Client is the newest version of the Native Client connectivity API.  Any programs that you have that try to connect using Native Client will try to use that library so I wouldn't uninstall it.
